Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Planning a trip to Paris? If you are, stop by the Palais de Tokyo Museum to check out a sculpture made out of 330 pounds' worth of YSL red lipsticks. The Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture #1 lipsticks were turned into this red and gray sculpture, which is part of a show called "Raw Materials." The show runs through January 7, but if you can't make it, a single lipstick that you can actually wear instead of just stare at will only set you back about $34. That's a bit cheaper than plane fare. [WWD, sub req'd]
