Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Somehow the Target plus Neiman Marcus plus 24 CFDA designer holiday collection hasn't exhausted the American customer's capacity to get excited over collaborations—or at least Target doesn't think it has. The retailer announced today that Prabal Gurung, who already created a black purse and cape for holiday collab, will debut a limited-edition capsule in February. As Gurung told Vogue, collaborations are "almost like a rite of passage for new, young designers. You know what I mean?"

We do, Prabs, and we hope that means there will be some iteration of Kate Middleton's brightly patterned attire in store. No word yet on that: All we have is the preview above right (Colors? Check.) and the fact that the 80-piece range will include ready-to-wear from $19.99 to $199.99 and handbags, shoes and jewelry for $12.99 to $39.99. Await it's arrival (oh yeah, the long tease is a go) will be available in Target stores and on on February 10.
