So much for that whole "everything that Kate Middleton wears sells like crazy" theory. UK chain Whistles reports that when Kate wore some of their clothes (including the cream blouse in her engagement photoshoot), it didn't actually have a huge impact on sales because the pieces were from previous seasons and had already sold out. When she wore a blue printed Whistles dress at the Olympics, the remaining dresses in stock sold out, but the figure wasn't huge. That said, there is a silver lining—Whsitles' overall sales online and in stores are up, which they're crediting in part to K.Middy's "visibility." Translation: Kate didn't help, except for all those times she did. Got it. [Telegraph]
