M.I.A's New Book Follows Her Path from Art Student to Pop Star

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

M.I.A is just as known for her outrageous style as she is for her majorly addictive beats, and her new book (the cleverly titled "M.I.A.") is like the coolest mood board ever, with patterns, images from her music videos, pieces from her art school days, photoshoot outtakes, concert pics, album art, and more.

The book came out last week, but the trailer (which was posted to YouTube by some guy named Jay-Z) is a pretty damn good substitute until you shell out for the real thing.
