Ingenue of the moment Lena Dunham was honored as one of Glamour Magazine's Women of the Year last night. To accept her "Voice of a Generation" award, Dunham came on stage in a navy Roksanda Ilincic cocktail dress with white sleeves and a pair of sky-high gold Brian Atwood 'Maniac' pumps, the latter of which she seemed to be having trouble walking in. Sure enough, just moments into her acceptance speech, the creator and star of Girls removed the challenging shoes. "I have to take my shoes off you guys, I'm so sorry," she said. (Kristen Stewart was 3000 miles away in LA making a questionable sartorial statement of her own at the time, but surely she will be glad to know she has a soul sister in New York.)

In other Dunham-getting-dressed news, she also thanked fellow honoree Jenna Lyons for bringing shorts back into her life. "You're the reason I feel comfortable wearing shorts," she said to Lyons from the podium. "It's going horrible for me. Thanks a lot."
