If you thought the people who slept out on the sidewalk for H&M's Margiela launch were batshit crazy, allow us to introduce you to two women already in line for Black Friday. Mashable reports that Rhiannon Buckingham and Alicia Gomez of El Cajon, California, have been camped outside of a Best Buy since last Wednesday. This means that they will have spent a full week in those camp chairs by the time the door buster deals actually roll around. It also means that they will have entirely skipped the holiday formerly known as Thanksgiving.
Buckingham and Gomez defend their position thusly:
"Last year, I came on Tuesday and I was 17th in line. They only had 15 TVs."
May the shopping gods be with them this year.
