Scottish talent Christopher Kane and Versace's Versus brand have announced they will be parting ways. Kane has helmed the Versus label since 2009, and by all accounts the split is totally amicable. A spokesperson for the brand confirmed to WWD that the partnership ended by mutual agreement, with no termination of contract.
Which means, of course, that Kane would be available instead to pick up the reigns at Balenciaga, but so far he's denying the rumors that he's headed to do just that. "Rumours surrounding Christopher Kane's appointment as creative director of Balenciaga are unfounded," a spokesperson for the designer told Vogue UK.
