It's still a mystery where British designer Christopher Kane is headed although he announced his departure from Versace's younger sister label Versus nearly three weeks ago. But at least Versus has named his replacement. Sort of. The brand is "repositioning" and that means they're launching a series of designer collaborations that will include multiple capsules, "co-branding projects," and limited editions, the first of which will be helmed by fellow Brit J.W. Anderson.

Recall he's the knitwear guru who just won the British Fashion Award for Emerging Talent (he's Irish-born, but who's counting?), is BBFs with Alexa Chung, and recently bedecked some sweaters with bats for Topshop.

Donatella, for her part, is duly pumped about the new hire. She told the Telegraph, "I keep a close eye on young talent, and have been impressed by Jonathan's work over the last couple of years. Versus is all about fun, change, and digital. I can't wait to present this collaboration!" Look for both the women's and men's ready-to-wear and accessories next spring online at versus.it and at various departments stores.
