Yesterday, NY Times fashion critic Cathy Horyn blew the lid off Balenciaga's news that streetwear designer and hard-core punk rap lover Alexander Wang would replace Nicolas Ghesquiere at the couture house. She wrote in a blog post that an official announcement could be coming as early as next week.

WWD reported the same thing this morning, citing market resources but admitting that neither Wang nor Balenciaga will confirm the move yet. Consider it unofficially official.
