Well, here's a shocker for your Monday morning: Nicolas Ghesquière is leaving Balenciaga after a successful 15-year run, WWD reports. At this point, that's pretty much the whole story—we don't know where he's going or why. It's possible that a decade and a half of helming a fashion house was pretty exhausting and he just needs a break, or it could be that he's striking out and launching an eponymous label. Hell, maybe he just wants to move to Nepal and become an alpaca farmer. Most likely, we'll get an answer over the next few weeks, which allows plenty of time for speculation and guessing about his potential replacement.
Either way, Kristen Stewart is going to be so bummed.
