Lebanese designer Elie Saab has returned to his homeland to launch the country's future fashion designers. He has partnered with Lebanese American University on their first-ever Bachelor's of Fashion Design degree, which will accept its first students in fall 2013. "I could never pass up an opportunity related to encouraging young people," said the designer, who added that he was tired of hearing about Lebanese kids leaving the country to learn about fashion elsewhere. Saab will serve as some kind of Tim Gunn role in the program, so make it work! [AME Info]
