In last night's episode of The Simpsons, two Portland hipsters (voiced by Portlandia's Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein, of course) head to Springfield with their entourage in search of authenticity. Thing's they wore include but are not limited to: striped knee-socks (women), moustaches (men), fedoras (both), trucker hats (men), over-sized horn-rimmed glasses (both), and many, many "America's Apparel" brand wife-beaters (both).
Homer tries to fit in with the hipsters and wears a scarf and a wallet chain. Exclaims Marge, "You look like a barista!" Good times and screen grabs, after the jump.
One question: Why was there no America's Apparel billboard in Springfield?
Marge to Homer: "Are you wearing a wallet chain? You look like a barista!"
Head to Eater National for many more screengrabs and a full discussion of artisinal donuts, craft beer, and other stylish hipster accessories.
