Two of fashion's most popular social platforms—Instagram and Twitter—have officially parted ways, Fast Company reports. Facebook acquired Instagram back in September, and they've now pulled the plug on the API which allowed Instagram users to post their photos directly to their Twitter feed. Instead, Instagram has been directing users over to the Instagram web site.
The good news: Twitter may be launching its own arty filters before the end of the year. All Things D noted that Twitter chairman Jack Dorsey has been posting some Instagrammy black-and-white photos of his plane's wing (classic), and spoke with sources that confirmed Twitter will release a series of photo filters for the official Twitter app in time for the holidays. Which means that come Fashion Month in February, the fashion community will have even more ways to take blurry runway photos.
