Louis Vuitton has cracked the advertising code, apparently: Shapes, primary colors, and conceptual artists—sounds like a very high-end kindergarten class. Whereas fall was Yayoi Kusama's red dots, Spring is French Daniel Buren's yellow checkers, which carried over to the latest ads, shot by Steven Meisel and modeled after a very mod September show that Buren also lent his hand to. They also have the added bonus of twin models to stress "the message of repetition and the repetition of patterns," as Marc Jacobs told WWD. Hopefully, LV will repeat the super cute polka dot video as well.
