Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Tracy Reese has had a busy few months: She showed her Spring 2013 line, completed a second Made in Kind capsule for Anthropologie, collaborated with Target, and dressed First Lady Michelle Obama. You know, usual rockstar designer things. But even she has to make it through the holiday season unscathed, so we asked her a lightening round's worth of questions to find out how she's doing it. Get educated on all things sequined, glittered, and boozy after the jump.

Best gift for a boss?
Doing a great freaking job. We don't want stuff. We just want you to do your best.

How many sequins are too many sequins?
Never too many sequins.

And for beauty, how much glitter is too much glitter?
You can do too much glitter.

Tights or bare legs?
I would love to say bare legs but it's going to be a cold winter.

Appropriate number of drinks at a holiday party?
Two. You know what ladies? We have to take care of ourselves. We can have a little fun, but we have to look out for our breast health and we're also responsible for getting ourselves home safely. Two's enough.
