Comedy writer Bonnie Datt once bought a chainmail vest "for clubbing"—a purchase she later came to lament, once she realized that chainmail wasn't particularly slimming. Inspired by this, she now spends her spare time asking famous people to dish about purchases which they initially loved—but ended up regretting, for Buyer's Remorse.

Kim Alexis was one of the top supermodels of the 1980s, appearing on more than five hundred magazine covers and in six of Sports Illustrated's legendary swimsuit issues. Since then, she's hosted television shows, filmed workout videos and even authored and co-authored fiction and non-fiction books. When we asked Kim for a Buyer's Remorse story, we assumed that like some other models, she'd tell us about a high fashion item. She surprised us, however, with a more high tech choice.
Racked: Can you tell us about something you've had Buyer's Remorse About?
Kim Alexis: I bought this glow-in-the-dark, [computer] keyboard online. I like to email late at night and sometime I don't want to switch on the light. I figure if my keyboard was sitting there glowing in the dark... So I took that thing and plugged it into my computer, but I would push one key and three letters would come up on the computer. What a stupid purchase. And they don't have a good place to return it. So I just had to eat that thing.
