Is it weird to open a box-set of S&M erotica in front of your grandma? You tell us. Amazon reports that the three books in E.L. James' Fifty Shades series were the top three sellers of the holiday season, which, we imagine, led to an awkward Christmas morning for many of you.

Other findings of note from Amazon's holiday shopping recap: NFL sports gnomes were a hot item, so you can expect to find them proliferating in gardens everywhere once the snow melts. The top three clothing items were all Levi's jeans for men. Uggs continues its reign at the top of the shoe category, and nose-hair trimmers were the number one personal care item sold this season. Also, the very last Christmas present shipped this year was a pair of Roxy Women's Hot Cocoa Slippers, which were ordered on December 22 at 11:52 p.m. PST and shipped to Fayetteville, GA. More highlights and fun facts after the jump.
