Print might be dying but at least there's hope for the time-honored tradition of turning pages: Glossi allows users to create online publications in a format that digitally mimics magazines, rather than the up-down scroll of, say, Pinterest and Tumblr. As Glossi head honcho explained to the New York Times' On the Runway blog, "the magazine format is an emotionally involving format. It really evokes interest, passion, and conversation in a way that the blog doesn't." It doesn't hurt that the site is pretty. Really pretty.
Also, a Glossi can be anything a book or magazine would be, plus .gifs and videos, so naturally the most popular so far in the nearly five month testing period feature the usual internet fare: DIY, branded content, cats, Ryan Gosling, niche and personal style, food. What this means for nail art, however, is so far untold.
