The saying goes "first comes skate boards, then comes handbags, then comes Derek Lam making shoes for his contemporary brand 10 Crosby," right? It should be because the designer is expanding the 10 Crosby Derek Lam line to include a 24-style footwear collection in time for pre-Fall of next year.
Cost ranges from $295 to $395—plus a knee-high boot outlier of $575. If that sounds steep for a contemporary label, rest easy knowing you're getting two shoes for the price of one: Each of the pairs are supposed to look like a mash-up of different styles. (See above for examples of what that looks like.) The goods will be available through the usual channels including Shopbop, Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue.
