Although not set to hit newsstands until February 14, Valentine's Day comes early for fashion lovers with today's preview of the newly redesigned Harper's Bazaar. WWD has a sneak peek at the "very daring" March cover, featuring an obscured Gwyneth Paltrow (with sexy Veronica Lake hair and a very revealing dress, mind you), plus a snapshot of "The Look," a new section that editor-in-chief Glenda Bailey calls "the ultimate list of things to be aware of this month."
There are other redesign tweaks, but none more noticeable than the March issue's 15.5 percent ad increase, thanks to the efforts of new publisher Carol Smith—though the magazine still has a way to go to catch up to Vogue, InStyle, and Elle, the other major fashion glossies. But as those ad wars rage on, we at Racked are waiting with bated breath for Harper's Bazaar's e-commerce launch, expected later this year. Stay tuned!
