Just Look at These Christian Siriano Shoes. Until They Hit Payless.

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Black ponyhair. Fuchsia croc. "Snow bat" white. Gold metallic lorix. Grey snake. These are the colors and textures which?believe it or not?will be on Payless shoe shelves come September 2012.

It's the Christian Siriano Gold Collection, the Project Runway winner's collab with the affordable shoe chain that has always always caused double takes. Plain pumps and minimalist mules these are not; Siriano's shoes can easily upstage an entire outfit. See those buckle snake booties? Badass?the exclamation point coming from an "electroplated accent" on the heels. Turning with a sharp flash, the T-strap stilettos were the stars of the show. The fact that something very much like these will show up in shopping carts for $60-ish in a little over six months is a little crazy. Crazy in a good way.
