Fashion's relationship with anything boozy is nothing new, but lately it seems as though designers just can't stop collaborating with wine and spirit brands. This week, we have two alcohol announcements from the fashion crowd: First, WWD reports that Tracy Reese has teamed up with Clos du Bois on a really cute picnic basket. The interior is lined with a floral print from Reese's collection, and inside, there will be two bottles of Clos du Bios wine, two wine glasses, two napkins matching the lining, a corkscrew, and a bottle stopper.
Similarly, Karl Lagerfeld has designed a very special label for a 2009 vintage Château Rauzan-Ségla, which was acquired by Chanel back in 1994 (you can see dramatic close-ups of the label here). So, for those of you toting around Two Buck Chuck, Yellow Tail, or, better yet, Boone's Farm to your daily picnic outings, now you have two classier options to choose from. Tracy Reese's basket will be available March 1st at the designer's Meatpacking store in NYC, and according to a press release, the Château Rauzan-Ségla will hit fine wine purveyors nationwide in March and will retail for $129.
