Afternoon Shoe Porn: ALDO RISE's Daring New Designer Collabs, Going for Around $150

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

The mission of ALDO Rise is to support "daring talent" in fashion, and daring, indeed, is the word for these shoes from the spring/summer 2012 line. A pet project of footwear stalwart ALDO, the collection features a rainbow of heels designed by high-fashion forces Preen, J.W. Anderson, and Libertine, among others, and is not for the wallflowers among us. Bold stripes, high-contrast color blocking, digitized prints, and inventive textures will get you in the mood for a little warm-weather fun—and with price points below $200 across the board, it's a runway-ready indulgence without the couture pricetag. Check 'em out in the gallery above.
