After the Missoni disaster, Target took some major measures to assure the Jason Wu collaboration launch would go much smoother. Besides beefing up their website, the company opted to debut the collection on a Sunday, usually a much slower online shopping day than week days. Additionally, the company was super secretive about exactly when the collection would launch—whether it woud be at 8:00 EST when the East Coast stores open, or earlier, or later, or what.
One commenter on their Facebook page straight up asked them what the secrecy was all about: "Target: What is the big secret about the start time for Jason Wu online? Don't you WANT people to buy and be happy? Whoever made the decision about being so secretive gets the the Flying Fickle Finger of Fate Award!" Target responded to the comment, "We'll let you know as soon as the collection is live on the site!"
Turns out they launched the collection at midnight on Sunday, and the website did not crash this time around. Many of the items are already sold out, however, or are selling out quickly, so check out our gallery above to see the 14 items left in apparel at this particular moment: there are currently four dresses still available, including the pink and yellow one from the ad (UPDATE: This is only available in an XL now), three of the tie-front blouses, a couple of t-shirts, and a pair of navy shorts. There is also a sole tote bag left online. If you're in New York or LA, our sister sites there have the scoop on all the in-store action.
