Stylists do the most glamorous grunt work out there, but grunt work it is. They are the middleman between designers and celebrities, so dealing with gigantic egos is part of the deal, and they have to drag around a lot of heavy trunks, too. Yet they don't always get the respect they deserve. No longer! For the second year, The Hollywood Reporter names the country's top 25 stylists, and guess who doesn't make the cut? Rachel Zoe. Apparently she's far too big a name to compete with—it just wouldn't be fair.
Juxtaposed with the others on the list, it's not a shocker that Zoe blew the competition away. In fact, there's hardly a recognizable name on there. Deb Waknin, who came in 9th place, is responsible for every "ooo" and "ahh" that befell Sofia Vergara when she donned Vera Wang's midnight-blue gown for the Golden Globes. But it's a good bet that Waknin is least recognizable name in that threesome. Likewise, Kemal Harris and Karla Welch pushed Hailee Steinfeld's goods throughout 2011 and—boom—a Miu Miu contract for Steinfeld. Still, Kemal and Karla who? The examples go on. Brad Goreski managed to get on there, though. He's number 20.
