Here to fill your cuteness quotient for the day, luxury shopping site Luisa Via Roma is working with UNICEF, eBay, and teddy bear makers Steiff to auction off a series of twenty-one stuffed pug dogs bedazzled by the likes of Mary Katrantzou, Valentino, Versace, Balmain, Missoni, and Viktor & Rolf, among others.
The Mary Katrantzou, Balmain, and Valentino dogs shown above went on sale yesterday and are currently going for a cool $865, $1,336, and $1,336, respectively—and that's just from the first day. These three well-dressed pups will be available for bid until March 26, and then replaced by three others weekly until all twenty-one have been sold. All proceeds from the auction (appropriately titled "Pug Dogs For Happy Kids") will go to Project ARISE, which helps to find Bangladeshi street children homes and provides them with an education. This auction hits all the sweet spots—puppies, children, and fashion —making it one of the most adorable causes of 2012 so far.
