Ellen DeGeneres Returns to the JC Penney Where It All Began

It's kind of fun to think of a teenaged Ellen DeGeneres working an after-school mall job at the local JC Penney, no? As the new spokeswoman for the chain, DeGeneres put together this clever advertorial which films her return to her former place of employment: the Penney's in her hometown of Metairie, Louisiana. The entire 8 minute and 48 second clip of Ellen messing with customers (and salespeople) is totally worth it, but here are some highlights: At minute 2:39, Ellen tries her hand at styling, dressing customers in fruit and then southern belle outfits (prom dresses with floppy hats and cardigans). At 5:48, there are glamour shots with toddlers; at 5:56, Ellen gets a new hair-do; and the last two minutes are dedicated to the optometrist department where she "helps" a poor girl who just wants some glasses. The only clip missing is the one where she leads a store-wide dance party. Lets hope she's saving that for the next visit.
