H&M's Spring 2012 Conscious Collection Arrives in 21 Days: Peep the Lookbook

New, 2 comments

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Mark your calendars: For the second year in a row, H&M is creating an eco-friendly Conscious line that focuses on organic materials and sustainable sourcing, and it's hitting stores in just three weeks. Also awesome? This year, they're also doing a "Glamour" collection of formal attire in addition to green-themed tees and sundresses. They're calling it red-carpet inspired, but think more People's Choice Awards than Oscars: Instead of sequined ball gowns, you'll find plenty of maxi and mini dresses that would work for spring and summer weddings. (Especially noteworthy: H&M promises a top and skirt inspired by the custom gown Michelle Williams wore to the BAFTA Awards back in February.) The collection arrives on April 12, but only in a very limited number of stores—100 worldwide, to be exact. Peep the lookbook above while you plot your pillage and plunder shopping strategy.
