At Last! Rachel Comey Is Launching E-Commerce

God it feels good to write that headline. Beloved indie-chic designer Rachel Comey is finally launching an e-commerce site this week, WWD reports, so you will now be able to shop the spring outfits of your dreams (or at least of our dreams) all in one uber-cool online destination.

The Rachel Comey line, which includes women's apparel and swimwear, menswear, accessories, and the designer's coveted shoes, has been around for 11 years, but this is the brand's first retail launch, online or otherwise. We caught up with Comey at her Fall 2012 fashion show last month and asked her whether she planned to delve into the e-boutique world. Though she hinted at the upcoming launch, she referenced the challenges in growing from a strictly wholesale business to becoming a full-fledged retailer. "We haven't done any retail at all in 10 years; we've been very much a wholesaler? But we'd like to," she told us.

And we're certainly glad she did. WWD reports that in addition to the wholesale line, rachelcomey.com will have exclusive styles, colors, and prints, and that U.S. shoppers will receive free domestic shipping for the first two weeks with promo code “ATLAST.”
