Surprisingly, fashion's love of Black Swan lives on into 2012 with a handful of rather unexpected projects for the original team behind the freaky-sexy 2010 movie. Though the new video for Jennifer Lopez's apparel line at Kohl's feels decidedly less Tchaikovsky, more "Jenny from the Block," Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky was tapped for the project, marking a light-hearted departure from everything else he has ever done in his entire life. And coincidently (or not?), our sister site is reporting that the New York City Ballet's Spring Gala performance, while not exactly a sequel to the movie, is as close as we're ever likely to get. The event includes a ballet by Benjamin Millepied, a.k.a. the Black Swan choreographer who is now Mr. Natalie Portman, and costumes by Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte, who worked on the costumes for the movie. Natalie Portman herself will serve as honorary chairman for the gala. As for Mila Kunis, as far as we know she has been too busy covering April magazines to get involved.
