Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

It sounds like Jak & Jil blogger Tommy Ton's collaboration with Club Monaco has whet his appetite for more design. In an interview with Shop Ghost, he said he'd like to do his own collection in about five or so years: "The clothes that I want to do [design] will be very reflective of what I’ve liked for quite a long time or what I think is missing." What exactly does he think is missing from today's street style? Pieces from seasons past, suits for women, edgier designers, reading glasses, and moms with children. [Shop Ghost]
