- Urban Decay has several shadows named for places, but we always return to Maui Wowie, a warm golden beige.
- Also inspired by Hawaii: Nicole Scherzinger's line of press-ons for Broadway Nails were inspired by the Aloha State, where she grew up.
- Erno Laszlo's Hollywood collection isn't just about bright lights. Each of the products bears the name of a famous actress Laszlo worked with during his career, including Katharine Hepburn and Grace Kelly.
- In 2010, Rodarte partnered with MAC for a line of products inspired by the Mexican border town of Juarez. Because Juarez has been a huge site for violence against women, the collection came under fire and Rodarte
- All of Bond No 9's fragrances are inspired by New York City, including everything from Central Park West (pictured) to Coney Island. Even the company's name is significant: it's the address of their shop.
- OPI's Texas collection was as hot and spicy as the Lone Star state itself, with color names like Do Ya Think I'm Tex-y, Guy Meets Galveston, and It's Totally Fort Worth It.
- Chanel's 2011 Las Vegas-inspired mini collection included a palette called Lucky Strike and a nail polish named Goldfinger.
- This spring, OPI released their Holland nail polish collection. The color names included Vampsterdam, Thanks a Windmillion, and A Roll in the Hague.
- British brand Models Own went on vacation (er, holiday) to the Spanish island of Ibiza and came back with these bright, party-ready colors.
- Many of Nars' products, including brushes, nail polishes, and eyeshadows, are inspired by the Japanese art of kabuki.
- Chanel's Knightsbridge collection was a special treat for Harrods shoppers. In addition to being named for the London neighborhood where the store is located, the products also boasted local names, including lipsticks called Belgravia, Hy
- All of Nails Inc's nail polishes are named after London landmarks, including Baker Street, Notting Hill Gate, and Piccadilly Circus.
- Jo Malone's latest round of limited-edition fragrances, London Blooms, were inspired by the classic scents of English gardens.
- Yves St Laurent loved living in Paris, and it seems only fitting that YSL would make a perfume bearing the city's name.
- L'Occitane loves the Provence region of France so much that it's in their name. You can even buy a Savon d'Occitane soap set made from regionally-grown ingredients.
Beauty can be found everywhere—and it is. Beauty brands have been making products inspired by destinations that range from Paris, city of lights and romance, to Las Vegas, city of lights and...well, we'll leave it there. Here's a look at some of our favorite products and the locations that inspired them.
