The Z Spoke for Lord & Taylor Capsule Is Here, and as Promised, All 12 Dresses are Under $200

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Lord & Taylor might be late to the designer collaboration party, but they've definitely dressed for the occasion now that they've arrived. The capsule Zac Posen created for Lord & Taylor under the Z Spoke handle has arrived in stores and on the company's website, and the 12 party dresses in the line look about as ready for the dance floor as you can get. Sexy and flirty with short hemlines and youthful touches, all go for under $200.

The partnership is all part of Lord & Taylor's master plan to join competitors Macy's and Target over on the designer collaboration bandwagon this season. “We don’t have a specific number of collaborations planned, but we believe it’s a new opportunity and will grow in the future both at Lord & Taylor and The Bay,” a spokesperson from Hudson’s Bay Company—which operates Lord & Taylor in the U.S. and The Bay department stores in Canada—told WWD back in February. The season's other collab of note is a 12-piece line with designer Yoana Baraschi, whose signature collection is sold at Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and other specialty stores. It is also ready for the taking on L&T's website, and also priced under $200.
