When we think espadrilles, we normally think beach—Brigitte Bardot-era St. Tropez if we're daydreaming, the mid-Atlantic seaboard if we're being slightly more realistic. But J.Crew's latest collab with Soludos has a decidedly urban mission. According to a press release, Soludos founder Nick Brown is a London expat who started the company when he realized New York was a little lacking in the espadrille department. With jute soles and cloth uppers, his version is true to the classic, with a couple improvements for comfort and all that walking city-dwellers do. The Saludos x J.Crew capsule features four solid styles, solid lemon, white, spearmint, and "neon peach," plus two red and navy striped versions. Best of all, the shoes are priced around $35 a pair, so, you know, you can still save for that trip to the Mediterranean.
