In Honor of Mother Earth, 15 Spring Looks Inspired By Nature

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Earth Day—which is on Sunday, for anyone who doesn't already know—might seem slightly far removed for the nature-deprived city dwellers and windowless cubicle drones among us. But celebrating the year's most outdoorsy holiday is easier than usual this spring, what with all the flora and fauna inspired prints available now.

Case in point: the bright, wild-floral doubled breasted jacket we found on Piperlime and the Jil Sander hummingbird print skirt over at Net-a-Porter. For those looking for a little more subtlety, small touches like the Kate Spade floral Scout bag, or garden-party ready Michael Antonio shoes do the trick. And just like that episode of Portlandia, there are no shortage of options if you're in the mood to put a bird on something (anything). Check out our gallery of nature-loving prints above. No allergy meds needed.—Julie Chen
