Beauty products are about to come under way more scrutiny, if the Obama administration has its way. Ad Age reports that the president's 2013 fiscal budget includes a proposal that would make it mandatory to register product ingredients with the FDA, which could mean big changes to the American beauty industry if it happens—consider that for every one cosmetic ingredient banned in the US, 120 are banned in the European Union.
