Not that you can tell from this sketch, but Brazil—specifically its architecture and "the sunset on the horizon there"—is the inspiration for Francisco Costa's upcoming Macy's capsule. Costa, head designer for Calvin Klein Collection and a native Brazilian, has created a line for Macys' Brazilian-themed spring promotion under the Francisco Costa for Calvin Klein nameplate, and has apparently managed to merge Calvin Klein's streamlined aesthetic with whatever the sunset looks like in Brazil to fit Macy's price points.
As we have only this sketch to go by so far, it's a bit difficult to tell just what that all looks like. What we do know is that you can expect the dresses to come in crepe and jersey materials and to retail between $135 and $180. The line drops May 15 online and at 80 Macy’s stores nationwide.
