Acne Ditches the Color Trend for an All-White Capsule

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Acne's all-white SS12 capsule collection has just arrived in stores, and it might just convince you to buck the color trend this season. The pieces are ethereal and modern, mixing materials and silhouettes. Think caftans, denim, poplin shirts and light jersey t-shirts, all mixed together in a very Acne way: Washed silk crèpe de chine on top of bonded lace, for example. The brand's Creative Director Jonny Johansson describes it as, “urban, but free-minded and radically white-only." We describe it as making us want summer to hurry up and get here already.

The 20-piece collection ranges from $120 to $1,000 and is available at, excepting the capri sandals, which are in the US exclusively at Net-a-Porter. Peep the lookbook above.
