Mr. T Will Motivate You Into Original Style

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Today in amazing videos you need to see immediately if not sooner, we have Mr. T's Fashion Show. This video can speak for itself, but here's our best shot at a summary: At a time when labels on clothing was becoming prominent, Mr. T has the wherewithall to ask, "Would Gloria Vanderbilt wear clothes with YOUR name on it? Nooo, of course not [fool]." Watch the magic for yourself as Mr. T of 30 years ago shouts frightening motivations from behind a camera while models in "original designs" remind us what it was like to dance through the '80s. And remember, in the words of Mr. T, "Everybody's gotta wear clothes. If you don't, you'll get arrested."
