Fuck Yeah Menswear Writers Outed

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Lawrence Schlossman

The mens fashion world went slightly nuts yesterday when writers of the anonymous blog Fuck Yeah Menswear were outed by The Trad. The satyrical blog, which pokes fun at the super-serious menswear blogging circle, had been cracking the internet up until it went off the grid last November. There was speculation that the silence had to do with a deal for a book due out in November—a book that is probably going to be significantly less exciting, now that we know the author is Sartorially Inc.'s Lawrence Schlossman.

"Yep, it's true, I wrote Fuck Yeah Menswear," Schlossman told the New York Observer, "but I don’t do it by myself. My buddy Kevin Burrows, who lives in Los Angeles and works at Dreamworks Pictures does it with me. His name as well as mine will be on the book when it comes out this November."

And thus concludes the post with the most amount of f-bombs we've ever written.
