Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Hot off the launch of the first round of The Shops at Target, dog treats and beachwear will bow to Manhattan-based fashion—like $99 moleskin jackets from Odin and $199 moto-jacket from Kirna Zabête—for Target's second Shops installment. But it's not all New York, all the time: Boston-based Patch NYC (misleading name, we know) and San Francisco's The Curiosity Shop, which both feature out-of-the-ordinary home decor, are getting in on the action too. Beginning September 9, these four shops will be found at Target for the customary six weeks.
