Tonight is about branding. The challenge is to create a campaign for the night's looks, to capture the essence of each brand in one photo. Got it? Good! We're off!
H&M has only one buy tonight, Ronnie Escalante's V-neck shift dress, though the excitement here is in the back, where you'll find a dramatic geometric draping detail. H&M produces it in an electric blue, and it's going for $39.95 on the site right now.
Macy's also has only one buy this week, Nzimiro Oputa's elbow-patch cardigan with contrast trim. Macy's produced this in two neutral colors: oatmeal and a heather grey, both with a handsome chocolate brown for the details. However, the patches are faux suede and though it's possible we're just being blind here (it's late, after all), nowhere in the product details could we find the fabrication. Unless it's made of some seriously nice wool, for $119 we think you could probably do better.
Saks is the big spender of the evening, picking up two looks: a ruffle-front white button-up by Kara Laricks (available right now for $235) and a sexy cocktail dress from everyone's favorite bowling champion, Luciana Scarabello. Lucinana's dress is produced in two iterations, a sophisticated floral-print silk and a classic black, both tailored with a cut-away collar and mock overlap at the skirt front. The floral option clocks in at $325 and the black is slightly less expensive at $295.
