Fans of Wes Anderson's morose WASP aesthetic are eagerly anticipating the release of this summer's Moonrise Kingdom, and in preparation, here is Bill Murray to discuss the film's fashion as only he can:
On cropped pants: "Wes, he wears his pants very short. So he likes everyone in the film to wear their pants really short, to look just a little bit like the kind of person you might want to mug."
On the soon-to-be iconic patchwork madras pants his character wears in the film: "This is a nice one, this is an old one. It's made out of separate pieces of, uh, loud material, sewn together in squares. You can do this at home."
On that preppy essential, the cardigan: "You know, here I am in a cardigan sweater, sitting here in Newport, Rhode Island, living la vida loca."
Enjoy the full clip above, which includes a tour of the movie's set, and many more quotable Murray moments.
