Susie Bubble recently crashed Japanese shoe designer Noritaka Tatehana's workshop and recorded the crafting process of his famously sky-high shoes. The heel-less shoes—which create a sensation, as Susie describes it, of "walking on air"—are a favorite of Daphne Guinness and Lady Gaga, and this particular Swarovski-encrusted pair are being custom made for the former. See pictures of the intimate workshop (consisting of just Noritaka, his lone assistant, and his rabbit) and get the play-by-play on what it takes to make heel-less heels on Susie's blog.
