Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Jimmy Choo co-founder Tamara Mellon recently picked up a "sprawling new beach mansion" in Bridgehampton, and after a little sleuthing, our sister site has pinpointed the most likely candidate for her new residence. And while "sprawling" is definitely the word for the seven-bedroom house, it seems to be a little lacking in, well, style. As Curbed reports, "While there's certainly more than enough room for what we can only assume is a massive shoe collection, the home seems surprisingly ho hum for a woman who built a company based upon high-fashion design." Thoughts? [Curbed Hamptons]
