French born photographer Garance Doré loves her some New York style. She told Shop Ghost that in America's fashion capitol "you can really mix anything. That’s why it’s the best dressed city in the world for me. You’re freer in New York. Everybody minds their business, and I’m not worried about what people will think. Sometimes it means I stay in my yoga pants all day too, and nobody will judge me." And, like any good Yankophile would, she's considering a number of American designers for her CFDA Awards look. Names she tossed out include Derek Lam, Michael Kors, and Calvin Klein. Maybe next time, Jean-Paul Gaultier. [Shop Ghost]
