Burberry continues to mix things up both in how they advertise and whose face reps the fall collections. Actress Gabriella Wilde and musician Roo Panes star in the campaign but if you don't recognize their pretty pouts, you're forgiven. Wilde is usually described as "up-and-coming," thanks to her first role in the soon-to-be-released remake of Stephen King's Carrie, and Roo Panes is a relatively obscure acoustic musician who's better known on the other side of the pond.
Mario Testino shot the photo campaign and an accompanying short film that will debut this Friday on Burberry.com, marking the next installment in Burberry's shoppable music video series. Speaking to the new faces and new forms of advertising, chief creative officer Christopher Bailey told WWD, "We wanted to play with everything that's at the heart of the Burberry world—celebrating our brand and London through imagery, film, music, weather, and our iconic outerwear, all in a very poetic and British way."
