The Salvatore Ferragamo Resort 2013 collection debuted last night at, why not, the Louvre. It's the first time the museum has ever played host to a runway show (the fact that Ferragamo is sponsoring the Louvre's current da Vinci exhibition has everything to do with that), and despite the record-breaking length of the catwalk, by all accounts the evening was a success. "I wanted it to be about richness and craftsmanship," creative director Massimiliano Giornetti told Style.com. "It's Slow Fashion, which is not just about precious materials, but also the time that goes into each piece. It's about the old masters, but with a young spin... The Ferragamo girl is cool, but she's got culture." Head over to Style.com to see the collection (and get cultured) yourself. [Style.com]
