UPDATE: A dress photo has surfaced! And here it is.
Leandra Medine, a.k.a The Man Repeller, has officially snagged a hubby and is now betrothed to him by law. It's a Weddings Week miracle! First and foremost, all of her diehard followers can exhale: The bride wore off-the-rack Marchesa. Though that choice might come as a surprised to those expecting something a little more repelling (read: cray-cray) or kept track of the rumors that Prabal Gurung would do the wedding dress honors, she did give this colorful explanation: "It's tight on top and then it explodes at the bottom." There are no pictures of the dress yet, but Medine did see fit to Instagram a photo of her insane wedding shoes.
Explosions aside, the other sartorial choices of the night seemed to follow the age-old adage of something new, something leather, and something appropriate for an Easter egg party. Rebecca Minkoff designed a white satin motorcycle jacket, Lyndsey Butler created a little white leather vest, and Medine's bridesmaids chose their own dresses in the mint, light pink, and light yellow range. And the shoes!
Whether Medine actually sported these bedazzled kicks down the aisle (and why wouldn't she?), she posted this photo on her Instagram with the caption "Big day calls for big @$$ shoes." Hear, hear. And mazel tov.
