As previously announced, the Steven Alan sample sale is online only this year, which is good news for anyone not able to make it to the company's Tribeca showroom and back on their lunchbreak (that includes us). The sale launched this morning, with up to 70% off Alan's classic Americana as well as pieces from the many indie designers he stocks—No. 6, Wool and the Gang, Rachel Comey, and Isaora, for starters.
It's a good one for spring and summer dresses—there are jersey maxis for as low as $60 and we lost count of the shirt dresses, which are clocking in in the $75-$150 range. There are a handful of printed silk numbers, like the one above from Rachel Comey, which, while still around $300, is about half what the normally cost.
Shoes are another score here: though there are fewer styles, the ballerina flats ($99), clogs sandals ($58–$250), and a few of last winter's boots are all classics that rarely go on sale. Stop here first if you have your eye on something—we predict they'll sell through quickly.
Classic buttondowns, blouses, trousers, and shorts make up the bulk of the rest of the merchandise and remember: All purchases are final, so think twice before you go too crazy.
